Lucy (Lucia) Anderson is an English figurative artist, living and working in Amsterdam. Following her formal education in Art and Design, she worked as an illustrator and designer before exclusively focusing on her large scale charcoal drawings.
Her work combines a realistic observation of the human state, both physical and emotional, with dramatic use of shadows bringing to life her three dimensional forms.
Targeted to engage the audience with movement or stories, depicting subjects in such a way that expresses more emotional drama than the effect of a single moment in time.
